Just one week
ago at this time of 10:45 I was with Rhett Bell for the
very last time. It was the last time I felt the presence
of his soul with mine. It was at Brenda's suprise birthday
party at John Hanson's house. Everybody went to see the
midnight movies except me. I had to go to work in the
morning. The last movie Rhett saw at the Fox was "Dawn
of the Dead" . It was Friday the 13th. I'm going
to start swimming Monday. I think it will be hard. An
article that Mr. Williams wrote talked about Rhett in
"The Country News". It had a picture of Rhett
as a freshman. I didnt really know him then. Mr. Williams
talked about reading a final report that brought tears
to his eyes reading it. I have the report that Rhett worte
and it was about Rhett's interest in a carreer. Rhett
had wanted to be a specialist in the field of medicine.
One reason of the two was that specialists make alot of
money. The other was most important to him, quoting from
his paper, it read: "Becoming a physician is a career
that I have chosen to study because I enjoy helping other
people and I am very interested in science and medicine".
I felt sad after reading his paper because he'll never
have the chance to live up to his dream. He was trying
to get to it when he lived.
I love you
Rhett.
