good mornin!...

wowo! what a week!...

As you all probably heard...over and over again... there was a power outage in San Franciso that effected the bay area... no electricity... no streetlights... no TV... which meant no martha stewert that morning..for franke...heh! ..

Was about to update my rambles page when .... BLAM!..everythng went dead... looked out my window and saw that there was no traffic lights working... went into the bedroom and franke asked if i had blown a fuse... (well i get my anger in the morning ....but hey! ..i didnt cause this!heh!)

Franke and i got dressed and went out to walk around the city...to see what was happening...we heard tons of sirens and thought that maybe someone crashed into a power line... so we searched the city for fires or crashes ... saw a bunch of people hanging out at the court building and franke said "it mustof happened here!...look at all the people!" .. but when we got over to all the people it was just folks who had court dates and couldnt get into the building... we moved on... found out that there was a major power outage effecting the whole bay area!... we were excited... but i was a little worried about the work i needed to do that day...and how my computer would react to the shutdown...

We got ourselves a cup of coffee at a bakery that still had warm coffee in a canister... concidered ourselves lucky...cause... everybody on the streets were looking for coffee... sf folks have prioreitys!...heh! .. "where'd you get your coffee..?"... was asked to us over and over again... we saw one gurl run past us... screaming and running "where can i get coffee!!!!!!"... very funny...

We went home and put some batteries in the good ol' AM radio and boiled water... (only thing we could do to stay warm!)... listened to all of the problems with the outage... then decided to buy a xmas tree... a little early since i normally get it on my birthday... it was funn driving around the city with no street lights... to get anywhere it took forever!.. and tons of people where out on the streets... reminded me of the day after the earthquake a few years ago... when everything was closed...and people came out and celebrated...

anyhew... we got our tree...brought it home and then waited for the lights to come back on... and waited ... and waited... burned candles to keep us warm... but having franke's warm body next to mine is the best whay to keep warm i decided!..heh! ..

Well the lights went back on finally for us about 1:30... about a million people had been effected... wowo!.. PG&E is sooooo busted!... somebody majorly got fired for sure!.

Been tryng to catch up with all the work I missed... a day had been taken away from all of us here... while the rest of the world continued... was very strange... now i can say... "i survived the great sf power outage of 98"!...heh!

As you noticed the last couple nights franke and I have been decorating the tree... got the bubble lights on it this year!...love them...

Yep! ... it's ol' rexy's birthday tommorrow!... turn 31... but shhhhhh! .. don't tell anyone... it's a secret!...heh! .. cant' believe i have made it this far... don't know yet what Im gonna do... but have the whole weekend off... got people to teach class for me... yes!!!...

Also got a package of the whole set of Rugrat toys...from Burger King!... Thank you Chris!!!!!!..

Well... have to get back to work... got more catching up to do before my class this afternoon... teaching tables today in HTML...
