hey there! ..

hadda pretty good weekend... no classes to teach... mom came up to visit... she came up on friday night on the train and got in around 8:30pm... she stayed all day saturday and then left on sunday... we had a quick visit ... but a good one...

we stayed in for the most part... she's got some health problems.. so it's hard for her to get around... trying to get her up all the stairs is the big thing..just ask GGB about it! ..heh! .. once she gets up all those damn stairs.. she's ready to stay! .heh! .. made mom some grilled chicken and stuffing.. (all by myself!..no disasters..wHew!) the first night... and we just hung out and went to sleep..

sat morn... she slept in till 11am! ..wowo! .. she didnt want to ..and wHas a little upset that i didnt wake her up.. but i totally thought that she needed the rest... and let her sleep.. i wHas up of course at about 8.... to me.. that is sleepin' in!..heh! .. so i made her some breakfast.. bacon...eggs... hash browns... and bran muffins... mann! .. and you all thought i couldn't cook.. or is that (wouldn't!)..heh! .. franke even wHas like: "you don't cook for me like tHat!"...my reply... you didn't give birth to me either...heh! .. mom has privies in my book..heh! .. so anyhew... i didnt burn the house down with my cookin' .. and tHat .. as martha stewert says..."Is a good thing"..heh! ..

we did get out a little bit... although it wHas raining most of the day.. another spring day here in sf! .. we walked down Hayes street and visited shanA who wHas working at BUU... a cute little store with home thingies... very slick... my mom loves to meet my friends... she has always been like that.. can be good and bad...cause in high school she would get into fights with a few of them..and you don't want to fight with my mom! ..heh! .. she is very sweet though.. she sounds like a little gurl.. when people talk to her on the phone..they ask to talk to her "mommy" ..heh! .. she looks wHay young too for her age.. wont say how old she is... but am definitely glad she looks young! .. hope that carries over in the gene department... think it has already..cause i get email from folks shocked to hear that i am 31... i think i look young as well.. and again.. "tHat is a very good thing!" .. thanks mom!!!..

We got lots of visiting done.. not going out gave me a chance to clean up the house a bit too and do some laundry.. so i wHas actually glad that we weren't running all over town... she gave me my easter basket.. sweet... full of candy! ..ugggh! .. im still working on the candy she gave me for xmas.! ..heh! .. when i left to run a couple errands... she snuck over to the basket and took some.. but.. she waited till the webcam took a pix to do it.. she wanted to be "caught in the act" ..heh! ..she wHas all braggin' about it wHen i got home.. she's very cool about my cam.. she always.. has let me be myself... and explore.. when i wHas a young punk-goth.. i put her through the tests! ..heh! .. but she always believed in me.. that i wHas a good person.. no matter what i looked liked.. although i remember one night wHen i wHas going out to a club... and wHas all dressed up in my garb and a full face of make-up... ready to head out the door... showed her my outfit..and she said... "you look tooo pretty!"... heh! .. but she didnt stop me or anything.. she knows i have my limits of how far i go... i never have to wonder where i got my weirdness...heh! .. if anybody captured any images of my mom stealing from my easter basket.. i would LOVE to have em' sent to me.. or any other images that you may have caught! .. would love to tease her with them..heh! ..eVil son i am!.

anyhew.. wHas sad to see her leave on sunday.. seemed wHay too short... and we had so much more to talk about... love that about my mom.. i can talk to her about anything... like she wHas a friend... of course it wHas just her and i growing up together... no dad..no brothers or sisters.. so we were close... she learned alot about being a parent.. but she is a very good one.. she knows she has faults..and accepts them and is always trying to work them out.. she has thought me that..

so yah... reX. is a "mommies boy" .. and im proud of it.. have so many great stories about her and i and many more to come im sure... we have been through alot together... more like a team ..rather than mother and son.. she always let me have the decision power with her whenever something came up..

when she left .. i wHas wHay sad... but then realized i had a ton of shit to do before i leave on tuesday... yep.. am going to LA LA land .. (los angelos)... the web team at Apple are going to Internet World... yah! ..funn!!!... I put off the dinner i wHas going to have with GGB and ME2 because there wHas too much to do before then... sorry you guys! .. we will do it again.. i know that ME2 comes into the city quite a bit... so next time for sure... had to run errands... get my haircut and then start the bleaching process!..heh! .. have to do another bleaching tonight when i get home.. ouch...! ..my head hurts..! .. but want it perfect for LA LA..heh! ..image is everything there...

I bought a new pair of italian dress shoes... kinda casual.. but very nice! .. wHas worried that i would pick out a dorky pair cause i haven't had any in such a long time .. but laura (my hairdresser) and franke said they were very cool! .. franke would know what would be accepted in LA LA cause he's from down there..he said he wHas shocked that i would buy a pair of shoes like that... heh! ..franke.. i got tons of surprises that you havent even seen yet!..eVil grin! ..heh! ..

Gonna make the best outta my trip.. am wHay excited to be going... except for the plane ride tomorrow..but im trying not to think about flying... i don't do too well on planes.. yeeeeKs.. bloody mary for breakfast? .. i think so!!!.. heh! .. gonna leave SFO at 8am and get into LAx around 9:30... meet my teammates and then waste some time shopping till we can check into our hotel.. we are staying at the glamourous Wilshire Grand downtown LA.. it's near the convention we are going to..so if anybody wants to send flowers welcoming me to LA ..you know where...heh! . dont know what we are going to do for the first day yet.. but something funn...shopping.. maybe go to universal studios...or something...there's tons to do there.. but for one thing is for sure..we aren't walking... "nobody walks in LA"...(heh!..sorry!)

planning on meeting a friend of mine that works for Disney..the first night. and perhaps get a tour of the Disney studio... yah! .. wHay excited about that.. and the fact that he and i are getting together.. he's a friend from the cam.. and we have been talking via email for a long time.. and it will be great to finally meet him..take it to reality!... he's an internet geek like me.. so it will be funn.. plus.. he's a babe! ..yum! details will follow when i get back!..grin! ..

On Wed .. we head to Internet world for conferences... and then we have some cool dinner plans.. gonna eat at Yamashiro's ... a japenese restaurant in the Hollywood hills.. so if anybody want's me to sign a REX shirt..heh! ..never mind! .. im getting wHay into this LA thing.. and im not even there yet! .hah! .. no.. but we are meeting "jason" from MTV's REal world boston and "abe" from MTV's "road rules"... they are the judges for the webcontest we put out a little while ago.. should be pretty interesting... there's somewhat of a similarity that im interested in.. they lived their lifes in front of alot of people.. so do I.. we should have SOMETHING to talk about ...heh! .. Jason is cute .. . i hear through the grapevine that he is bi.. and he has bleached his hair.. so .. gotta make sure the blondes are perfect before i leave.. wHanna have a good picture moment! ..heh! ..

Thursday.. is the last day of the conference and we fly back that evening.. so am not staying very long... but im sure..it's gonna make me want to go hang out there again.. may even do a webcast there if i can swing it.. if anybody knows of clubs..or neat cool parties that i should know about or get involved with.. where i could webcast and meet people..let me know.. there's alot of you out there i would love to meet...

well !!!!.. this is a looong ramble isnt it? .. well am gonna be gone..so this will have to do for awhile..so i put in a little extra..heh! ..

gonna miss my kitties, my puppy, and my cam.. but am planning on bringing the digital cam and video so that i can show you what kind of trouble i got into...

everybody behave while im gone! .. well.. maybe not behave ...but have funnn.. and i will be back soon... with an "LA" attitude!... (not)..heh! ..
