hey there! .. im baaaaaaaaaaacK!......

what the hell happened wHen i left? ...!!!... got back last night and it wHas wHay hot in SF!!!!... wowo!!... it wHas like the LA weather had hid in my luggage and came home with me... sweet!... ;>

but ..yah.. im back!.. and had such a good time in LALA land!... a blast actually... it wHas one adventure after another... it's gonna take me a few rambles to get it all down... took a few digital pixs and some video that i will share as well.. maybe on sat.. while im at "RENT" i will play you the tape of LA...

gosh...where do i start? ..

well... since i am writing this .. you can assume that i made through the flight alright and didnt craSh or majorlly freaK while flying... sorry for the last ramble... i am such a crY baby wHen i comes to flying... hate it... but am happy that i get to travel with my job ... cause i do want to travel... and doing it more and more will help me with my fears.. gotta face em' ..yah know? .. wHas funny.. wHen i got home and downloaded my mail ..i got an email from someone who designs the seats for planes... he informed me that a lot of work and money go into the designs of the planes.. and that i shouldn't freak..he even sent some pix of the planes being built to assure me...heh! .. very sweet.. thanx mann!

i got into LAx around 9ish...and met my teamates... bard and tony... they flew in from san jose.. we grabbed our car rental and checked into the Wilshire.. very nice hotel... tony wHas thrilled cause he hasnt traveled very much.. i wHas thrilled cause i hadnt been in LA in about 6 or 7 years..! ..yeeeks!..

the first day wHas planned to be our funn day... we took the car and drove down to Hollywood and did the "walk of the starS" ..thing... i looked for my sTar ..but couldnt find it... damN!..heh! .. i did see a couple of empty stars and wish i had a black marker to put my URL on it.. heh! .. loved checking out the scene there... wHas very touristy.. but hey! .. we were tourists!..and i got some great video from it... they were filming down there for awhile and the streets were blocked off... some kinda of skaterdude film i think.. (yum!).. we were approached over and over again to be part of audiences for some shows.. do those guys get commision? .. but we didnt have time for that.. we had to.. (as babs says) MOVE...!..heh!

next we drove down W. Hollywood... my old haunting grounds from wHen i wHas a young "freak" ... used to hang out at a club called "peanuts" .. don't know if it still is called that .. but as we drove down santa monica blvd. my head wHas rusing with memories.. it's scary that it's been over 10 years since then... yeeeeKs..! .. many lifetimes ago for reX. back then i wHent by "dane" ...actually had a few variations of my name.. "michael-dane" .. "dane-michael-dane"...and "dane-michael-dane-pudgy bunny" .. pudgy bunny? .. (i tell yah about that one in another rambles someday!)... i thought dane wHas a cool name.. and it wHas totally in for the 80's ..heh! .. dane michael cameron ..is wHat i wanted to change my name to.. ahhh.. youth.. hah!!!..

we passed by a old hotel that me and my "freak" friends would stay at right down the street from peanuts.. right next to the Ihop... forget the name ..but we would rent one room and pack tons of people in it.. sneak em' all up..heh!.. i remember one time we slept in our car... and then got dressed behind a huge dumpster... trying not to get ants in our pants... heh! ..

but yah.. memories.. (yet another babs moment).. were flowing... and it wHas wHay cool because we found a radio station that wHas playing old 80's hitts... so it wHas a double wHam as we cruised to "Everyday is Halloween"... Tony loves the "old" 80's tune.. scares me that they are retro now... yeeeKs.. im getting older..(thank god!)..heh!

crusin' down the road some more .. we passed beverly hills.. (NICE!... very!).. i could see myself livin' there!!!!..heh! .. everybody wHas out jogging.. doesnt anybody work during the day? .. oh! .. yah.. this is LA... guess not!..HAh!!!..

we stopped to browse the shops in rodeo driVe.. oh mann..!!!.. wHat a scene!!!!... i couldnt get over how well put together people where down there..!.. to the hilt!.. like i said before about LA .. "image is everything"..heh! .. and it shows.. and they know how to do it.. they got it down good!.. browsing the shops wHas very cool too.. loved seeing all the upscale stores... gucchi... neman marcus.. tommy.. etc.. got some great shots with the video cam as well..and got one shot of this middle aged dressed tothe hilt lady walking into gucchi.. with a rich-bored as hell look.. it totally captured the essence of the scene!..heh! .. i couldnt help but notice how beuatiful everyone wHas.. espically these boys wHo were eating at a cafe.. i kept staring at them.. and they were staring at me... tried to get some shots of them on the cam.. but didnt want to be to "in their face"..but noticed as i taped some locals that nobody wHas afraid of the cam.. and it wHas funny how i would be taping someone from accross the street and they would always notice me taping and wave or pose or do something for me.. loved that! .. i was in my element! ..heh! .. i guess everybody is used to it there... i gotta go back and really do some taping next time..

we stopped into neuman marcus for a bit.. and ran into someone from "party of five"..wHas funny cause we were getting off the elevator and just about ran into him as we were getting off and he wHas gettingon.. he backed up...we came out.. me not knowing who the hell it wHas besides a cute boy..kept eye contact with him.. as the elevator door shut we were still "looking" at each other.. kinda flirty... then my boss told me who he wHas.. yeeeKs! .. i loved it.. our sighting of our first star! .. and we cruised each other! ..hah! .. love not knowing who someone is ... and then have some experience with that person and then finding out who they are.. i think impressions are better that wHay.. you don't have preconcieved notions about them that can alter your experience..heh! ..

i found the PERFECT pink shirt i have been looking for at neuman marcus... hot pink.. short sleeve.. tight fit.. and only $250 !!!!.. yeeeeeeKS!.. not this time reX. .. !.. heh! .. someday.. but not now!.. wowo! .. am still looking for a pink shirt like they had in the gucchi fashion show from this year.. very sweet... but i can't shell out $250 for a shirt.. maybe if i lived in LA.. maybe!..heh! .. but wHas thrilled to be able to find wHat i wanted.. and am going to keep looking for it.. but it's gotta be in the right money range! .heh! ..

got lots of video from our first little venture.. that i want to capture stills from.. and add to my gallery.. so look for it this weekend ..

well.. my stop is near.. and think i have rambled enough about my trip for now.. still have some other adventures to tell you about..
