hi my honeys,
hope you are able
to stay cool. it will
be 110-115 here this coming week. and
henderson on this side is always alittle
warmer. the heat doesn't bother me
like bakersfield because it is dryer and
the ozone stays at moderate or better.
b-town the ozone was always bad and
it was hard to breath.
today i went to walmart
and stocked up
as much as possible. of course i have a
tale to tell. i was in the freezer getting
some little dinners, when a lady flew by
and ran over my foot that i had out for
balance. i screamed and she didn't even
stop, just yelled back that i was parked
too far out, no i am sorry or anything.
i was parked as close as possible next
to the freezer next to mine. people here
are always in a hurry, have no patience,
or manners. the girl across from me came
over and asked if she could help. she said
that her mom has bad foot problems and
understood what pain i was in. she helped
me get my shoe back on. so far only one
toe is black and blue, but of course again
i will need to watch and see if it is necessary
to go to the doctor. my life is never simple!
michael, have you
heard from your friend
in london? also, there was a huge fire in the
mission district. isn't that where jack
lives?
have you heard from him? did you and craig
have fun last week?
jacki, give those
fabulous two a big hug and
kiss from me. emma is visiting with julia and
it is funny the stories she is sending me. it
is great having little ones around. i guess
that tess is going home on the 24th, so i
probably won't get to see her again before
she leaves.

that story pisses me off! . what a rude .. well i will call
her a lady here.. but in my mind im thinkin' something else..

someone would be that rude and hurt someone and not feel
bad.. ugggh! .. am happy that someone did come over and
help.. now.. that lady.. is a lady.. :)

.. it's been great weather in chicago.. hot.. but not humid..
the humidity gets to me.. as im a californian boy and not
used to it..
i emailed rob
from london the moment i heard about the bombings..
he emailed me back and said he was at home sleeping.. he
works at night.. whew! .. although he wHas wondering how
he was gonna get to work that night.. it's amazing how the
english adapt to this kind of thing.. rob pointed out the
the english were used to bombings.. the IRA and all.. but
still! .. it made me worry... (gettin' like you mom!;) heh!

i hadn't heard anything
about the mission fire .. wowo.. what happened? .. jack
lived in the tenderloin near downtown.. but now he lives
in new mexico.. moved there about a year ago.. we have been
in communication lately.. and hopefuly i will be able to
go out to new mexico sometime and visit.. i miss him..

and i had a great time on the 5th.. his birthday.. dragged
him downtown for potbelly sandwitches.. and a picnic at
milliunium park.. it's new park the city opened .. down
by the lakefront.. it's got a huge water foutain with video
images and kids play in the water .. a giant silver bean
sculpture is there.. but underconstruction.. was cool to
watch them work on it.. they looked like ompa-loompas..
heh! .. we walked all over downtown.. (you know how i love
to walk!.. only one more block mom! lol! )we had a great
day hangin.. but so tired when i got home..
that's about it for
me.. working on the book with bard.. he's such a great guy..
teaching me alot of stuff and great to get this story out
of my head on onto paper.. here i go.. changing careers
once more.. but i gotta try this out.. change gears every
ten years.. i say.. ;) keeps my life interesting..
hope to go out the
lake this week.. take some loooooooong walks ..
