wHay late and watched "qUeer as folk" .. an english TV

riZ had given me this tape of the sHow and eneded up watching alot
of it last nite.. couldnt stop watching and stayed up too late..
which is wHy im so tiRed..
but have to say i wHas very touched by the whole thing..
it hit on so many serious issues.. as well as the lighter side
too.. found myself cryin' and reaCting and totally absorbing it..
and thinking about my liFe...

Sad cry -- When friends are sick. Death of friends.
Happy cry -- I'm just an emotional guy. The slightest bit of good
news, the right words from the right guy, or just a kind thought

I usual cry at the end of a TV show or movie where a couple that
was serperated by fate or misfortune are reunited and fall madley
in love. I think I cry out of happiness and hope that that will
happen to me some day. Other times I cry when I think about my mother
who passed away 7 years ago. It's still hard knowing I can never
speak with her again. I still miss her

Hi, I am patiently awaiting my copy of QAF 2 from them, but here
is one way to order it:
If you find the internet site too complicated or confusing, here's
an easier way to order a copy of QAF 2 plus the NTSC conversion
when it is released on March 13, 2000.

2. Place copy of video in basket, but don't finish order.
3. Send e-mail to service@blackstar.co.uk
and that you want to convert your ordered tapes it to NTSC
4. Tell them your name, address, and telephone number
That's all there is to it. They will write back and confirm your
order, and you will receive the original PAL tape plus an NTSC conversion
tape which will play on American TVs, as soon as the video is released
in March.
You can also order the Queer As Folk 1 this way, but the cost
is higher because it is a 2-tape set. (The total will be 48.79 pounds,
or about $70.00). QAF 1 is available NOW. QAF 2 is available on
March 13th (about $35.00) Shipping is free (air mail).

Hi Rex:
Although I did not participate in your poll on the subject, I'd
like to offer some thoughts regarding public displays of affection,
at least here in the Middle West.
First, most of us in the Middle West like it here and we don't
care much what California does one way or the other. But we love
you Rex-you're a sweetie
Secondly, more seriously, straights rarely offer displays of affection
in public here; correspondingly, gays don't either. Why? Bad manners.
We believe displays of affection are private. That is what we are.
That also means is that straights accept gays MORE here because
we are private about it. Perhaps California gays could learn from
us since Prop 22 was approved out your way.
Thirdly and most importantly, we don't "advertise" much here. We
don't wear Polo or Rex Tee shirts for the label like do. Gauche
here. We like "no logo" stuff here. Most of us in the Midwest PREFER
TO ADVERTISE OURSELVES AND OUR INDIVUALITY rather than the cover
designed by someone else. This means we value relationships more
than your part of the world would.
Your poll seems accurate to me. It also tells me that maybe you
are not as much in the "national" loop as much as you think. For
instance, you seem to like the nude webcam sites a lot. Perhaps
that is a REX preference. Ho about interviews with gay websites
that represent gays more accurately, that is, those of us who work
9-5, who don't worry about their HIV status like you have to, but
we who are still gay and do things like straights? You know, no
big agenda, not trying to impress everyone with our bodies, who
build relationships over time and grow old and die in our 70's and
80's.
The Middle West may be boring to you. The upside is we here will
probably live 3 times longer than you. Think about it.
Time to get off the soap box and earn a living.

Jez, I just cant say when. Second, and more important, What the
hell is wrong the the voters in California. Where do they get off
telling anyone what they can do in their private lives. I simply
dont understand why that Prop22 was passed. Maybe we should take
the same kind of stand that the NRA does and quote the Bill Of Rights
or the Constitution. They're screaming about the "Right to Arms",
so that every kid in America can have a gun. Well, what about the
"Persuit of Happiness"? If my pursuit is a same sex marriage, then
that it MY Constitutional Right, and that can't be taken away from
me.
What is this world afraid of? A happier, friendlier, more peaceful
world? I say to anyone who voted for this stupid proposition, Pray
that another proposition doesn't arise that would not recognize
your right to vote ignorantly. I read that Prop22 was initiated
by Sen Pete Knight, who's own son, David, is gay. Talk about a screwed
up family. What a shame.
